    Job Description
    Summary of Responsibilities:
    The Mission Advancement Assistant plays an important role by providing administrative support to the Mission Advancement Office including fundraising, events, communications and outreach.
    Reports to: Director of Mission Advancement
    Responsibilities & Functions:
    • Track philanthropic requests, pledges, contributions and processes the donor acknowledgment letters, assists with fundraising communications, updates donor records, responds to member queries, prepare mailing lists and donor reporting in the fundraising software, Raiser’s Edge.
    • Maintains donor confidentially and ensures compliance with related policies.
    • Assists with special events, including soliciting silent auction items, sponsorships, locating needed services, researching venues and prices and obtaining contracts for services and insurance documentation.
    • Handle all administrative details associated with identified committees. (i.e. prepare and distribute notices, agendas, minutes, etc.)
    • Provide over all support for the Mission Advancement office as identified by the Director of Mission Advancement.
    Minimum Qualifications:
    • A minimum of three years' experience in an administrative position, preferably in a not-for-profit development office
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
    • Ability to organize and prioritize work
    • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously
    • Ability to work with many different types of individuals, teams, and community groups
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Knowledge of and experience with Raiser’s Edge desired
