Paramedic (Full Time and Part Time): Caroline County Department of Emergency Services
About the Department: The Department of Emergency Services is responsible for providing advanced Emergency Medical Services (EMS), emergency planning and coordination for County government, and emergency communications, including 911 dispatch, police communications for the Sheriff’s Office and four town police departments, and fire and rescue communications for eight volunteer fire companies and the county EMS responders.
About the Job: Full Time and Part Time Paramedic. This is skilled specialized work as a Nationally Registered Paramedic. Performs necessary emergency medical care on sick, injured or convalescent persons at the site of an incident or in route to the hospital or other destination as prescribed by MIEMSS.
Requirements: Must be a high school graduate and have a Nationally Registered Paramedic Certificate. Applicants must also have a valid Maryland Class “C” or equivalent driver’s license. Six months ALS experience preferred. A Maryland Paramedic license must be obtained within 30 days of employment, if the candidate is not licensed within the state of Maryland. Must comply with the terms of the Caroline County Personnel Rules and Regulations, including the Substance Abuse Policy, while employed in this class series.
Salary Rate: Paramedic $20.85/ Hourly- Full- Time
$20.08/ Hourly- Part- Time
May vary depending upon experience.
