Summer Program Camp Leaders: Caroline County Department of Recreation and Parks

The Department:  We are responsible for the development, delivery, and management of a variety of recreation programs and public facilities within Caroline County. These include amenities and outcomes such as: Instructional sport and fitness programs, Community events, Afterschool program services, Athletic facilities, Public waterways access, Arts development programs, Playgrounds and walking trails, Community partnerships, Youth Camps and Trips. Sr. Program Leader– This person works as a group leader under the direction of a Camp Director.
 
Duties include, but are not limited to: 
Assists the Camp Directors with all activities. 
Lesson planning and teaching enrichment activity plans.
Works well independently and on a team.
Flexible and creative, resourceful, and respectful of the school environment.
Comply to the rules and behavior expectations in the staff manual.
Maintains an enthusiastic attitude and an energetic approach to duties.
Encourages the participation of all campers.
Must be able to attend mandatory pre-camp training. 
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must be at least 18 years or older or 17 years old and completed 12th grade.  Experience working with children preferred.
 
Jr. Program Leader– This person works alongside Sr. Program Leaders. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Camp Directors.
 
Duties include, but are not limited to: 
Under the direction of Camp Directors and alongside Sr. Program Leader will assist with all activities.
Comply to the rules and behavior expectations in the staff manual.
Serves as a role model to camp participants.
Maintains an enthusiastic attitude and an energetic approach to duties.
Encourages the participation of all campers.
Flexible and creative, resourceful, and respectful of the school environment
Must be able to attend mandatory pre-camp training. 
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must be at least 16 years old or 15 years and completed 10th grade.
 
Location: four (4) elementary schools in Caroline County. Camp runs June 26- July 28, Monday-Thursday.
 
 
Salary:   Hourly rate $13.25-$16.00 based on experience/education level.
