    UM Shore Regional Health Golf Tournament Raises over $100,000 for Cancer Center

     

    EASTON, Md. (August 8, 2025) –The University of Maryland Shore Regional Health (UM SRH) Golf Tournament at Talbot Country Club raised over $100,000 to benefit outreach and patient support programs conducted by the Cancer Center at UM SRH. UM SRH is a member organization of the University of Maryland Medical System.

     

    “We are so grateful to the sponsors, volunteers and participants who made this year’s golf tournament such a great success,” said Jeanie Scott, Director of Oncology Services at UM SRH. “The tournament proceeds will support important initiatives that benefit patients along the cancer journey, from diagnosis to survivorship.”

     

    The annual tournament is one of the premier golfing events in the Mid-Shore region, with lunch on the course followed by an awards reception for the 32 participating teams.

     

    The Auxiliary of Memorial Hospital at Easton was a lead sponsor of the tournament, with a generous gift of $25,000.

     

    “The Auxiliary’s mission is to support Shore Regional Health through volunteer services and efforts to raise funds for the hospital,” said Robert Coleman, Auxiliary President. The Foundation’s annual golf tournament is one that we are pleased to support.”
