John Whiteside III has written three books—with a fourth in the works—based on events from his life while serving as a Special Agent with the FBI. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, John graduated from Cheltenham High School and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education from Temple University. He began his career as a teacher at Fort Washington Elementary School before joining the Federal Bureau of Investigation in 1971. His interest in law enforcement began with a seasonal summer position as a police officer in Stone Harbor, New Jersey. After retiring from the FBI in 2001, John worked for eight years as a private investigator in West Chester, Pennsylvania. He is currently self-employed as a U.S. government contractor and counterintelligence consultant. Join us for this special evening to hear about his experiences and explore his books—Cypress Shade, Fools Mate, and Missing in Matagami—all available in our collection!
