Join us for Hot Cider and a Haunted Ghost Tour with Mindie! Tuesday, October 14th | 5:30 PM Caroline County Public Library, Denton, MD Step into the shadows of one of the most haunted towns on the Eastern Shore—Denton, the heart of Caroline County with Mindie Burgoyne. Known for its chilling tales and famous spirits, Denton is home to the haunted Denton Jail, where the ghost of Wish Sheppard still lingers. Despite years of attempted removal, his eerie handprint remains on the jail wall—a lasting mark of his haunting presence and the reason behind his chilling nickname: "Shep." As we journey through Denton’s dark past, we’ll stop at five haunted properties, two graveyards (including one so unsettling that locals refuse to visit it after dark), and the infamous home of Dr. Knott. You’ll also hear tales of a spirit haunting an old bank building and learn about the tragic history of the Courthouse Green, site of two brutal lynchings.
