From Conflict to Connection: Raising Resilient Teens
This workshop is designed to support and strengthen relationships between guardians and teens. Facilitators will educate participants about individual conflict styles and provide strategies to improve communication. Additionally, they will share resources for those interested in more personalized conflict resolution options. About Mid Shore Community Mediation Center: Founded in 2005, the Mid Shore Community Mediation Center is a nonprofit organization serving Dorchester, Caroline, and Talbot counties. The center offers a range of conflict resolution services to individuals and organizations—all at no cost. One of the primary services offered is mediation, a voluntary and confidential process facilitated by two trained, neutral mediators. Mediation can be used at any stage of a conflict—proactively, during active disputes, or to reflect on past challenges and plan for future change. The center operates with the belief that conflict is both natural and necessary, viewing it as an opportunity for growth and transformation. Their approach aims to create sustainable, tailored solutions for each unique situation. In addition to mediation, the center provides other conflict resolution processes such as restorative circles, conferencing, workshops, training, and customized services for groups or organizations. The Mid Shore Community Mediation Center actively seeks to deepen its impact by partnering with local school systems, courts, nonprofits, and community organizations.
