The Nanticoke’s Lasting Legacy: “Weaving Together Our Past, Present & Future”
Join Dr. Bonnie G. Hall, Historian for the Nanticoke Indian Tribe, as she shares an informative presentation about the Nanticoke people. This engaging event will provide valuable insights into the rich history, vibrant culture, and unique traditions of the Nanticoke. Attendees will have the opportunity to gain a deeper appreciation for the Tribe’s significant contributions and the lasting impact of its legacy Bio: Bonnie G. Hall retired from Delaware Technical Community College (Jack F. Owens Campus) with 29 years of distinguished service to the state of Delaware in 2010. She is a proud A.A.S. graduate of Delaware Tech and holds a Bachelor of Science and a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from Delaware State University. She earned a doctorate in Educational Leadership (EdD) from the University of Delaware. A lifelong resident of Millsboro in Sussex County, Delaware, Bonnie’s deep roots in the region have shaped her enduring commitment to her community. Her dedication to preserving the traditions and lifestyle unique to Sussex County is evident in her ongoing efforts to represent her homeland with professionalism and positivity. By embracing every opportunity to serve, Bonnie continuously seeks to uphold the values and heritage of Sussex County for future generations. Bonnie is an active member of the Nanticoke Indian Tribe and previously dedicated five years as a Tribal Council member. In her ongoing commitment to her community, she currently serves as chair of both the Commemoration and Scholarship committees for the Nanticoke Indian Association, Inc. Through these roles, Bonnie continues to support tribal leadership in a variety of capacities. Now as Tribal Historian, Bonnie works to preserve the Nanticoke Indian Tribe’s history and culture while building partnerships for its continuing legacy. She serves on the Committee on Native American Ministry (CoNAM), the University of Delaware’s Sea Grant Advisory Board, and the Milton Chamber of Commerce Board. Previously Chair of the Southern Delaware Tourism Board, she now leads SDT’s Marketing Committee.
