BBBSES Hosts Spring Arts Gathering at Chesapeake College
Wye Mills, MD – Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Eastern Shore (BBBSES) hosted a Spring Arts Gathering on April 7th at the Todd Performing Arts Center at Chesapeake College, welcoming youth ages 8 - 17 for an afternoon of creativity and connection.
The free event brought together community youth, offering a supportive space to create artwork. Participants enjoyed hands-on art activities, refreshments, and a friendly competition.Youth were highly engaged, taking pride in their work and enjoying the opportunity to express themselves creatively.
At the conclusion of the event, first, second, and third place winners received gift card prizes, and all youth were recognized with take-home items. Some youth artwork was also selected for display in the Art Showcase at Chesapeake Community College.
BBBSES extends its sincere thanks to Chesapeake College and staff member Robert Thompson for sharing space for out gathering, support for our youth, families, and community, and for providing a space to showcase the creativity of our youth on the shore.
