For All Seasons Shares Information and Resources
During Human Trafficking Awareness MonthFor All Seasons hosted several activities during January to promote Human Trafficking Awareness Month. For this year’s annual Red Sand Project, staff involved all For All Seasons’ offices and many partners across the Shore in the awareness initiative using red sand to represent victims of human trafficking who may be hiding in plain sight. Red sand was poured into sidewalk or pavement cracks to spark dialogue and awareness.
Susan Ahlstrom, Regional Navigator, provided Human Trafficking Awareness 101 and Internet Safety presentations across the five Mid-Shore counties. Additionally, Susan and team members provided youth and family education at Cambridge South Dorchester High School, North Dorchester High School, and in Caroline County Public Schools. For All Seasons’ staff also presented proclamations in all 5 counties on the Mid-Shore.
Our Center for Learning shared two free human trafficking prevention online courses created by For All Seasons: one for the hospitality industry and one for mandated reporters.
For All Seasons' Center for Learning also hosted a free Lunch & Learn, bringing together community members both in person and virtually for an important conversation about protecting youth and vulnerable individuals from online exploitation and human trafficking.
During the session, participants learned how teens and at-risk individuals are increasingly targeted online, particularly as technology evolves and AI-generated explicit images become more common. The discussion focused on recognizing warning signs, understanding risk factors, and knowing how to take action.
“We are grateful to everyone who joined us for this meaningful conversation and for their commitment to building safer, more informed communities. Education and awareness are essential tools in preventing exploitation and supporting those at risk,” shared Susan Ahlstrom, Regional Navigator at For All Seasons.
For All Seasons Behavioral Health & Rape Crisis Center offers mental health services, victim and crisis support, and education and outreach on Maryland’s Mid-Shore and throughout the state. The agency’s unique model of care ensures that anyone can receive high-quality, trauma-certified mental health care when they need it – regardless of language or ability to pay.
