Talk Saves Lives
Join us to learn more about suicide prevention and the warning signs of suicide. Gain insight from the latest research on what leads individuals to consider suicide, how different communities are affected, and the key contributors to suicide risk. Understand the protective factors that can reduce risk, effective strategies for managing mental health, and how to create a safe, supportive environment for those who may be struggling. Learn what you can do: Recognize the warning signs and behaviors to watch for, learn how to start meaningful conversations with someone you're concerned about, and discover ways to seek or offer support—along with available crisis resources for yourself or others. This program will be led by Jeffrey Shultz, a volunteer for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and the organizer of the Mid-Shore Region Community Out of the Darkness Walk.
